Squad 12 Captain Alaster Lupen

Alaster Lupen is the current captain of Squad 12 and president of the Shinigami Department of Research and Development. He is an older man balding on too with scruffy grey hair lining the bottom half of his head. He wears multiple layers including a green turtleneck sweater below his standard Shinigami garb, a white labcoat, a heavy brown apron, and his white captain's Haori.

Lupen has been a member of the Department of Research and Development for the better part of his life since his graduation from the Soul Reaper Academy. Prior to being made captain, Lupen spent much of his time in the Foundry division of the Soul Society where he would work endless hours forging swords, armor, and various other things out of metal.

Though he rarely engages in combat, Lupen's skills surpass those required of a captain, making him a very reliable soldier when requested. His Zanpakuto reflects his great interest in the Foundry and takes the form of a hammer when in it's Shikai form.
