Hello all,

It's been quite some time since my last upload, I've been quite busy elsewhere in life and so I had to put drawing on hold. BUT NO LONGER! So here we have a wonderful Mega Marowak. Marowak is my old roommate's favorite Pokémon, as well as a Pokémon that can definitely benefit from a Mega Evolution. Let's get started, shall we?

The first thing you should notice is that Mega Marowak gains the Dragon secondary type. This addition is coupled with Mega Marowak gaining access to Dragon Claw, Outrage, Dragon Tail as new moves. While this does amplify it's Ice weakness and add other weaknesses, it gives it access to STAB, Huge Power boosted Dragon moves. While it does not get any additional Attack base points, Huge Power doubles it's attack stat, effectively giving it a max 568 attack stat. It gains 35 points in Defense and Special Defense, allowing it to much better take a hit. It also gains 30 points in Speed which doesn't make it a speed demon, but does put it on par with Pokémon like Claydol and close to (a few points short of) Pokémon like Feraligatr, Heatran, Diggersby, and M-Blastoise.

Mega Marowak would not dominate OU. Unfortunately, a Pokémon like Marowak, even with the 100 BST boost, is still relatively fragile and notably slower than many of it's counters and checks. However, if it comes in on a safe switch, it can do ridiculous damage with Huge Power and force switches with Dragon Tail. No Dragon type can feel safe coming in for risk of being hit with a STAB, Huge Power Outrage or Dragon Tail which helps to eliminate one of it's weaknesses.

I like Marowak, I really do. It has the same problem as many other older Pokémon, that problem being it is a victim of not being able to keep up with the Power Creep. Pokémon with ~400 BST just can't compete, and even bringing it to 525 you have to wonder if it's worth the Mega slot when Pokémon like Garchomp and Dragonite exist. But I like this concept, so I'm standing by it. Let me know what YOU think!
